What I show

When I am composing pictures I recognise the interrelation of form and substance more than in all my other artistic work. What I want to portray and how I do this visually – these two sides can be so close to one another that no words or actions are necessary or so far apart that the gap between them can become the real focus of the scene. Because of the influence that the portrayal of an item has on its reception there are some things that I can only really express in a visual context, especially those which try to tell something about being human.
